We have been trying to change our shield material into aluminum. We would like to take your wise experience and want to learn the maximum alumina thickness that can be obtained by hard anodizing on aluminum. We are waiting your reply.

We have had success with thickness in the range of .003 on most aluminum alloys. Heavier may be attainable with certain alloys and a close eye on the process.
