How to etch Evanohm? (High Chromium Alloy )
2002
Hi everyone,
Can anyone help me? I am trying to etch a high chromium alloy called Evanohm which contained 20% Chromium, 2.8% Aluminum, 2.0% Copper, 1% Silicon, 0.9% Manganese and 0.08% Zirconium. Anyone can suggest any etching method to me, I already tried ferric chloride
⇦ this on
eBay or
Amazon [affil links] with high HCl, but the surface became very rough.
Thanks You so much, hope someone can help me.

Hi, Albert. You asked how to etch Elgiloy on letter 11936 and got a response. If you tried that suggestion, please follow up! ![]() Ted Mooney, P.E. Striving to live Aloha finishing.com - Pine Beach, New Jersey April 29, 2009 |
