Soldering Electroless Nickel?

2002

We need to electroless nickel plate small parts (some are made of steel, some are zinc die castings) and they need to be able to be soldered afterwards, how can we achieve this?

We've heard this is very difficult to achieve, is this true?

Thanks in advance for your help

You will have no problems in soldering electroless nickel as it is a solderable coating unlike electrolytic nickel. EN gets soldered due to phosphorous content in it.
