Help in electroplating project
I am doing an experiment with electroplating. I was wondering when using silver what a good electrolytic solution would be, and how much to use; also, how much metal should be used. and when using silver for the plating, what metal should receive the ions being plated?

Hi Dave. You haven't told us yet if this is grammar school work or post-docturate work. But I personally don't think anyone should be doing silver plating in grammar school or high school; cyanide is too dangerous. Please see our FAQs and consider doing zinc or copper plating instead.
