Cheap way to apply Al coating on Al
I'm looking for a cheap way to apply Al metallic coating on Al substrate(at the lowest temperature possible to avoid any substrate modification). The objective is to get a different alloy (or pure Al) at the surface of an other Al-alloy (for mechanical properties). As a comparison, we find the flame spray too expensive!
Thanks,

You could have aluminum electroplated onto aluminum by Alumiplate; or sputtered onto aluminum by an Ivadizing shop. But it sounds like the only thing that may meet your price point is aluminum foil and double-sided tape :-)
