Contact material with coating for low voltage switch applications

We have an application where the contact rating of the switch is @5Amps, @290 V AC. The contact material is Brass. What should be the optimum plating material (Silver, Gold, Platinum)?. What should be the plating thickness?. Where can I get this ready made preferably in India/ other countries?

You can use silver 3-5 micron with a gold strike. The gold strike is to prevent silver from tarnishing. Since you are not concerned about contact resistance silver at this thickness should be helpful. Gold strike is optional, if you are not concerned about the tarnish of the metal.

Good luck....
