White stain on chrome plating

The white rundown stain problem in the chrome tank, after chrome plate bar or rack with parts then bar or rack stay in chrome tank about 3 minutes, during this time need current at the anode and cathode, if need current how much current need? "No white rundown stain after nickel plated parts".

It's difficult to understand your problem. It seems to be a chrome burning (excess current) problem, with the appearance of a white haze. Is your white after chrome or after nickel? Is your operation a Bright Chrome finish, if so, 3 minutes is rather excessive time. Please supply more information.

Hi, Popat. Can I take a guess that the problem is that you have a programmed hoist installation and it is requiring that the work stay in the chrome tank 3 minutes longer than necessary? If that is the case, the programming must be fixed rather than worrying about whether it is more damaging to the finish to leave it in the tank with the power on vs. off :-)
