Alodine 1200 do we need a electrolytic bath

Do we need an electrolytic bath for coating Alodine 1200 on to surface of aluminum.Will a dip be suffice for Alodine 1200 to give a yellowish colour.

You have mentioned a specific trade name, so you should talk to the supplier of that product. But in general, chromate conversion coating does not use electricity; of course, there are many other steps required than simply dipping in the chromate solution.
