BeCu EMI/RFI contact compatibility with 316 Stainless Steel and Silver
2002
What long term corrosion/resistance problems are there with a BeCu EMI/RFI spring contact making the connection between a 316 stainless pressure sensor housing and a silver EMI/RFI spray coating on a plastic enclosure?
The plastic enclosure is watertight IP68, is not assembled in a special atmosphere, will be used in firefighting applications so I need to ensure the contact security throughout the product's life.
According to galvanic series BeCu, Stainless Steel and Silver are in a compatible range? Would a gold flash over the precipitation hardened BeCu contact be advisable?
Is this true...any advice will be very much appreciated?

The spring must necessarily rub across the silver paint, and the paint will be the worse for it, so soon you will have contact between the spring and non-conductive plastic, which would be a failure.
