Identifying toxic metals in our environment

Q. Please how do I identify & separate toxic metals from organic matter

A. Toxic metals in organic matter can be separated or sampled, by first digesting the organic matter/sample. (i.e., a process that involves burning out the organic components by either flame in a furnac or, using combination of strong acids to digest the samples..usually a combination of HNO3: perchloric acid in 5:1 ratio respectively.) the digest is then diluted to a known volume and then analysed in using an AAS (atomic absorption spectrophotometer this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] ) to determine the tye of metal present and the concentration.
