ASTM Hydrogen Embrittlement Standard

Could you kindly tell me where can I get the information regarding the ASTM standard to avoid hydrogen embrittlement, I mean in which volume of the ASTM standard book.

Thank you,

2002

Both ASTM B849-02, "Pre-Treatments of Iron or Steel for Reducing Risk of Hydrogen Embrittlement", and ASTM B850-98, "Post Coating Treatments of Steel for Reducing Risk of Hydrogen Embrittlement", are found in ASTM Volume 02.05.

My preference is for AMS2759/9 though...

Good luck!

Go to ASTM (www.astm.org). Click on 'Standards'.
On the Standards page, choose 'Individual Standards'.
On the search page, enter 'embrittlement' as keyword.
Choose which of the standards seems to meet your requirement, voila'!

From your request I am guessing that the following item is what you are interested in. By the way, once you have reached the above page, a couple of more clicks allow you to purchase the specification either in hard copy or usually in a PDF file for download as well. Cheers!

Volume A05.13 "ASTM A143-01 Standard Practice for Safeguarding Against embrittlement of Hot-Dip Galvanized Structural Steel Products and Procedure for Detecting embrittlement"
