Teflon coating

Hi

sir I want to know complete process for fludized bed coating of polymers (nylon, polyethylene, teflon ) on mild steel . Please help me , I am a student of Metallurgy and Material science ..

I need to find a process that will coat teflon on mild steel. Can anyone help me?

i am a student of metallurgy and material science , I am going to take a "process" in my university , and I am still in uncertainty that should I take a process on fluidized bed coatings of teflon , polymers or some others.

Please give idea about any process for coatings.. I would be thankful to you.

Thermoplastic materials are often applied by heating a part and then putting it into a fluidized bed of powder, Aziz. The usual pretreatment for steel is iron or zinc phosphatizing. Some good books on phosphatizing are Samuel Spring's Preparation of Metal for Painting[this on Amazon affil links] and "Phosphating of Metals" [this on Amazon or AbeBooks affil links] by Rausch. Some good ones on powder coating are Roger Talbert's "Powder Coating" [available from Chemical Coaters Association Int'l] and Bob Utech's Guide to High Performance Powder Coating [on Amazon affil links]. Good luck with your study!
