COPPER COATING

Gentlemen:

Some of my customers have complained that the copper coating that I do for the CO2 MIG welding wire results in copper particles clogging the liner of their MIG welding machine and they have to frequently stop and clean it. I want to know the reason(s) for it although I have ensured clean wire surface, contaminant free bath, and optimum wire feed speed.Where have I gone wrong and what needs to be done to cure the problem.

Dear Mr. Ebadullah

I believe the problem would be arising due to the thickness of the copper coating . Try to reduce the thickness of the copper coating as much as possible .

Best Regards
