PVDF is a fluoro polymer. Its expanded name is polyvinylidenefluoride. This is a coating, which has a high chemical corrosion resistance. But I am sure this is not what you are asking. You are interested in PVDF based paints. A lot of interest has been generated in India on this technology. The process is a simple two or three coat liquid coating process with baking. The supply of PVDF based paints is restricted to licensed applicators only. It takes a minimum of 8 to 10 months to get the approval and that is if you get it in the first short. The standards of quality are very stringent because the coating is guaranteed for a life of 20 years. This is mainly used for architectural applications.

PVDF stands for polyvinylidene fluoride, a plastic somewhat similar to Teflon®. Hylar, Kynar, and Solef are some brand names.
