PLATING PROBLEMS

WE ARE HAVING A BLISTERING PROBLEM WITH OUR PLATING SYSTEM. EVERYONE SEEMS TO HAVE AN ANSWER , NONE I AM CONFIDENT WITH . WE PUT IN NEW CLEANER BATH , EVERYTHING IS FAIRLY NEW.COPPER STRIKE SEEMS GOOD . I AM WONDERING ABOUT THE ACID BATH BEFORE THE STRIKE. CAN THE NICKEL BATH CAUSE BLISTERING, OR DOES THE PROBLEM START BEFORE THE NICKEL. DOES THE NICKEL BATH REQUIRE AGITATION OR IS THE FILTER GOOD ENOUGH IF IT IS TURNING OVER AT LEAST FOUR TIMES AN HOUR ENOUGH.WHAT TEMPERATURES SHOULD THESE TANKS BE AT.

Hi,

If you are asking your questions to everyone as vague as you just posted, then you are right in distrusting the answers. You need to give enough initial info and then organize your questions to get good clues. What type of part, substrate, pre-treatments, bath and conditions are you using?
