METAL STAMPING QUESTION
I am restoring 2 old pinball machines, both are antique and all parts are irreplaceable for the most part. One has a metal tag with reverse stamped numbers on it, appox 2"x3", thin metal. This metal tag is spot welded to the machine and I would have to destroy it to remove it. Numbers on the tag are reverse stamped, that is to say the numbers/letters protrude outward, like brail letters, not inward like normal stamping. Searching for a company that can do just one tag, I don't need 1,000 tags, just one. The tag on the other machine is riveted on and can be easily removed and use as a template for the one I need, although the numbers are different(1 character off). Having trouble finding anyone that can do this for any amount of money, the machine is worthless without the tag. Please let me know if you can help.
Thanks,

How about drilling out the spot welds and then riveting the tag back on?
