Want bronze "bookmark" for marble memorial "book"
Am I asking the impossible? I am organizing a marble cemetery memorial for my late father. The "book" is in polished granite. I want a bronze bookmark (i.e. cord and tassel) for the center of the book. Can it be done somehow? Normal channels through cemetery memorialists have failed.

Contact an art foundry. Yellow pages or internet directories. There's at least one in your state.

Memorial pieces that are personally based are probably one of the harder items to provide for. I would suggest you see a pattern maker who would be able to make a one off pattern i.e. your cord and tassel, that could be cast to your individual requirement. Waverley Cemetery has some exquisite individual pieces in memoriam on different graves and crypts. One springs to mind is a small but CAST representation of an ANT......it represented Anthony's nickname.
Good luck,

Contact the cemetery office at Waverley. We have a bronze book which is a copy of the marble book you referred to.
