Gold plating on SS component (spring steel wire component)
Hi,
I am working in electronic industries. Can Some body help me to solve my problem. My Problem is- I want to gold plate a component made out of S.S wire (Spring steel wire) but I do not know whether it is possible or not.
Please help,

Stainless steel can be gold plated. MF guide book or AKG give many processes. It will be necessary to drive out Hydrogen. Alternatively plan pre-plating with minimum Hydrogen contact, and plate with asymmetric A.C. Asymmetric A.C. has worked fine on spring steels and phosphor bronze.
