Aluminium pretreatment

I need to know if someone can suggest me the sequence for treatment of aluminium for nickel chrome plating. Even I would like to know majorly the cleaning mechanism of aluminium i.e., pretreatment of aluminium and zincating required since I am using a caustic based cleaner where sometimes I find etching of aluminium creates problem after plating.

You should probably use a non-etch cleaner, etch, desmut, zincate, strip in nitric acid, zincate, copper cyanide plate, acid copper plate, semi-bright nickel plate, bright nickel plate, chrome plate.
