Bonding to anodized finish

We presently use 2024 Al with a chromic anodize finish for bushings that we bond to acrylic with silicone RTV. A customer is asking us to switch to a standard sulfuric anodize or a hard anodize. Can I successfully bond either of these finishes?

Sure. Just be sure you know why chromic acid was specified originally (usually for minimal depth of penetration and therefore minimal effect on fatigue strength, and no chance of entrapment of corrosives).
