Help me with black oxidizing
I am a student, and I am doing my science fair project on Black Oxidizing of sterling silver. I need some back round information on black oxidizing that is not so technical, and I can understand, but every site I go to does not help me. Thank you in advance.

Hi Sarah,
You can blacken silver in 4 oz/gal Sodium Polysulfide (Liver of Sulfur) at room temperature.

This website now has a FAQ section for black oxide. You may want to read it.
