Embrittlement Sensitivity of Diffused Nickel Cadmium Coatings
Is diffused nickel cadmium coating (plating) considered a hydrogen embrittlement sensitive process? AMS2416 makes no mention of bake out requirements or restrictions. Can I assume that with no sensitivity requirements that the process is not "embrittling"?

The only diffused nickel cad that I am aware of is a thin layer of nickel, followed by a thin layer of cadmium and then baked at a rather high temperature to diffuse the two together. This is way more than a de embrittlement bake.
