Anodizing BeAl
Dear Sir,
May I know how to anodize beryllium aluminium alloy ? The beryllium content = 65%. Please include pretreatment and anodizing process parameters and post treatment.
Thank you,

Al-Be has a dual phase microstructure which makes it very difficult to anodize uniformly. One option is to electroplate the Al-Be part with a pure Al coating. And then, anodize the coating (it anodizes like 1100 Al).

You can contact company in England. They have proprietary plasma anodising process which can anodise AlBe alloy.
