Surface texture of anodized aluminum
I'm hearing that anodized aluminum is not suitable for machinery components in food (meat) processing plants. That because the anodize is porous it is not cleanable. Can anyone confirm if anodized aluminum is FDA approved? I'm assuming it is since lots of cookware has this treatment. Also would like to know the expected surface texture (Ra) of type III, class 1 anodize.
