Investigate the metallurgical interface between zirconium and stainless steel 304

Hello there,

I am a student and I am doing a project based on friction surfacing technology. My project is to investigate the metallurgical interface between zirconium and stainless steel 304. I am using friction surfacing method to put this two metals together. However I could only get very little information about this subject. That is using friction surface method of zirconium on stainless steel 304. In this case the zirconium rod is rotated on the stainless steel substrate at a preset speed and pressure. In addition a calculated feed rate along the substrate which makes a even surface coating.

I will appreciate very much if someone could help by giving me more information.

Thank you,
