Pretreament for titanium
Hi there.
I'm searching for article or good information about pretreatment for titanium, and for plating copper strike and nickel strike on titanium. This is because I work with a new development to plate on titanium without the high temperature baking.
Best regards,

Titanium can be cleaned and pre-treated by few minutes of electropolishing in environmentally safe salty electrolyte. This is the most controlled and safe method instead of etching. No fumes, no waste water contamination, no waste treatment. But you need special high-voltage equipment in order to do this. However when you calculate how much money you save on environmental control, workers insurance, waste management, etc., it's probably worth it.
