Carbon steel counter top
I am using carbon steel plate as a countertop in my kitchen. I would like to know what product to use to prep the steel to remove and prevent future oxidation. I do not prepare food directly on the counter but I do need for it to be safe for food to come in contact with the counter.

Pamela,
See posting 13388 and maybe this will help you out. It worked for me, but keep in mind I'm using Galvanized metal.
Good luck,

I'm attempting to do the same thing and am wondering if/how this counter top turned out.
