Shining anodized aluminum
I own a painting contracting business that has been asked to provide our services to a church in Lancaster, PA. We will be painting/sealing several different surfaces on the steeple of the church. While we are on this steeple, the church has asked us to clean/refinish a cross at the top. This is a cast anodized aluminum piece that has a gold type finish to it. We're not quite sure what procedures to use. Up about 110' from street level, the cross has been exposed to the elements for the past 50 years. It appears slightly pitted and dull. It is too big to possibly remove from the steeple, so we need to finish it in place. The end goal is to have a bright shiny cross with a long lasting finish on the top of the church's steeple.
Any help or suggestions you have to offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi, Peter. I'm sure they called upon a painting contractor with experience and expertise for this project and that you're doing a fine job. Similarly it's time to call upon an experienced brush plating / brush anodizing specialist to re-anodize this cross in-situ. Good luck.
