Wire Rod Defects

I am working in a wire rod mill in production department. I am looking some reference material on "Wire rod Defects" such as seams, cracks, etc.

Have you checked the trade magazines such as Wire Journal? I am at home so can't give you any other magizines to check. I have an article from a German magazine I believe that explains wire breaks and their causes. I'll look for it tomorrow and see if I kept the reference for it.
