What exactly is Industrial Anodizing




 

I am a BE student of psgtech coimbatore and sir I am having few doubts in this "industrial anodizing" would like to post you a question. What do you mean by industrial anodizing. What are its applications? I would like to get some information on those above quoted topic. Could you please send the information about that.

Hi, Ananda. Unfortunately you really can't take a short colloquialism like "industrial anodizing" out of context, and then ask "What was the context?"   :-)

It could mean anodizing done IN an industrial environment, perhaps in high volume, as opposed to, say, anodizing done by a hobbyist. It could equally mean anodizing done FOR an engineering reason as opposed to an aesthetic reason; for example, anodizing of electronics sputtering machines to prevent corrosion, hardcoat anodizing of machine parts for wear resistance, or anodizing of heatsinks and enclosures, etc. for electrical resistance.

Anodizing of titanium, for example, could be undertaken to give a colorful appearance to costume jewelry, or it could be done to impart gall resistance to machine parts. Good luck.
