Stripping of Ivadized Aluminum

What is the best stripping solution for Ivadized aluminum from high strength steel? I have caustic, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, Enstrip S/cyanide nickel strip.

Jeanne Kitazaki
United Airlines - San Francisco, California

Ivadizing is vapor deposition of pure aluminum, glass beaded and chromated. Any aluminum etchant solution should work just fine. Blasting with walnut shell media this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] works also, if I remember correctly. James Watts
- Navarre, Florida

Caustic will selectively remove the aluminium.
