Anodizing/Iriditing standards

I would like to review the standards that illustrates the criteria/ specifications for the surface finishing technologies such as Iriditing and Anodizing for Aluminum surfaces. Please advise.

Thanks,

Start with MIL-C-5541 for chromate conversion coating and MIL-A-8625 / MIL-PRF-8625 [on DLA] for anodizing.

Are ASTM anodizing standards more recognized than Mil Spec? If so what is the basic equivalent to Mil-A-8625 Ty2 CL2?
