MAGNESIUM COATINGS
I am designing an electronics enclosure for a military application. For weight reasons, we have chosen a magnesium alloy for the enclosure material. I am looking for a finish that has excellent corrosion resistance and has good electrical conductivity. I am trying to eliminate galvanic corrosion and provide a good EMI seal between the enclosure and it's cover. We are prohibited from using cadmium or zinc plating (unless they have a supplementary treatment) or pure tin as finishes. Any ideas?

Sure. Electroless nickel.

You could try a company in Florida which treats Mg alloys with an oxidation process called Keronite. It would provide the corrosion resistance you require.
