Seal grooves and anodizing

I am currently working on aluminum landing gear parts that are anodized all over, with exception to the seal grooves. The seal grooves are treated with Alodine and have tendency to corrode at a fairly fast rate depending on exposure to a salty marine environment. I have heard via professional sources that seal grooves should not be anodized and only treated with Alodine. Is there any information you can provide me on these different surface treatments and seal grooves?

Thank you for your time,

Unfortunately, what is available is of no concern. If you want to maintain manufacturer liability, you are obligated to using whatever rework criteria they have. Landing gear is a critical component, so it is important to only do what is authorized and done by a certified shop. James Watts
