Stripping Nickel from antique brass faucets
I have some antique faucets that have nickel plating on them. I would like to strip the nickel off and polish the brass, is there an easy way to do this? If not is there something I can buy to do the job.

Hi Lonnie,
Nickel can be stripped from brass with commercially available proprietary strippers from such vendors as Metalx (Ronatec.us) [a finishing.com supporting advertiser]. But such chemicals are really intended for industrial use rather than home use, so you might be better off locating a plating shop who will strip them for you.
Best of luck.
