AA8006

Q. Dear anybody could tell me how I can use electropolishing for Aluminium AA8006? Thanks for you replying

Siriwan Sakultanchareonchai

A. Siriwan, if you are electropolishing for metallographic structure, than I'd start with the parameters used for 3003 or 6061, and experiment a bit. 8006 is not a heavily alloyed metal:

0.4 max Si
1.2 to 2.0 Fe
0.3 max Cu
0.3 to 1.0 Mn
0.1 max Mg
0.1 max Zn

Good luck!
