I am involved in jewelry making. I would like to find out what methods exist to acquire a non-shiny appearance or a kind of patination on gold objects.

GOLD IS HIGHLY INERT BUT SINCE YOU NEED ONLY PATINIZED THE SURFACE YOU CAN PLATE OTHER METAL [COPPER SILVER ,PLATINUM] THEN OXIDIZED THIS SURFACE.
