High temp corrosion proof coating

At the moment we are looking for a ceramic coating that would protect metal casing from corrosion. The chemical atmosphere for this application contains HCl and Cl gas at a temp of up to 400 c. The reactors lining is composed of few layers of refractories and insulation materials but the reactors metal shell suffers heavy corrosion. We are looking for a few hundreds sqm. to coat ,and would like to use airless/brushing method of application.

Yoram Itkin

Dear Yoram,

I would try to use Ni undercoating with proper ceramic overayer. Ni-Cr are not proper choice for Cl-gas. The coating should be porousless with good adhesion. Thus it is necessary to know exactly the metal casing now in use etc.

Your sincerely,

Andrey Igolin
