Replacement for cyanide bath for copper plating

can you suggest to me any alternative bath for copper cyanide to plate copper strike on mild steel? Is it eco friendly?

As far as I know, the better copper pyrophosphate baths are all proprietary. They are offered by several companies including EPI / Electrochemical Products Inc. [a finishing.com supporting advertiser]. You don't say why you are copper striking, so I don't know if this helps, but you can also nickel strike instead of copper striking.

Do Nickel strike followed by acid copper.
