Q. I have received an RFQ for a part that requires the following surface treatment: MBAg 2-3µ

What is MBAg? I've never heard of this and can't find any info on the web at all.

A. Since I haven't had my weekly dose of Jeopardy!, I'll give this one a shot:
Military Black Silver. Of course it could be Matte - Bright Silver
Requesting more info from the customer is the way to go.

A. Hi Deepak.

In addition to Megan's guesses of "military black silver" or "matte-bright silver", it could mean "Meyer Burger AG" solar coatings, or a few more things, but the best answer is probably "Michael Brewington's Advice Good!"  :-)
