Hydrochloric vs. sulfuric acid for Science Fair
Hey I would like to know whether hydrochloric acid, or sulfuric acid, would have the most effect on metals covered with oxide? How much of a difference would it have on the chemical properties of these acids, and their pH's?

Hi, Doug. At room temperature hydrochloric acid will be a more powerful rust removing acid. It's normally used at a 10-20 percent strength for rust removal. Good luck.
