Copper bath start-up trouble
My company recently added a second electroplating copper bath. We used the same specifications as our other tank, however with all new chemicals and equipment. We had the solution tested and were on target with the cyanide and the hydroxide. The amount of copper was tested low, however. Currently, we are testing the plating and finding absolutely no copper on the samples. In fact, the brass turns a black and green color. I hope you may be able to shed some light on this.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Did you double-check the polarity?

If the polarity is OK then you may have chrome contamination in yr new bath. Has happened to me..
