Alternatives to FFKM

Hi,

I am looking for a cheaper alternative to FFKM elastomers for a high temperature application (250 °C). Is there any way to get this around? Maybe by doing some kind of plating on the regular types of elastomers e.g.,silicon rubber? Any comments? Thanks in advance.

I don't know your application, have you thought about encapsulated silicone O-ring with a Teflon PFA or FEP lining. It is not as flexible as Kalrez but to my opinion can withstand high temperatures and has good chemical resistance properties.

All the best,

Try AFLAS material. It can withstand temperatures of 260 °C.
