Best way to obtain antique verdigris on copper
An old lady came into our jobshop and wants antique verdigris on some copper pieces. I like to keep the public happy, so what's the best way to do this?

You won't keep them happy by referring to them as old ladies, Mike, regardless of the respect you may wish to import to the wisdom that comes with age :-)
The thing to do is to get a copy of "The Colouring, Bronzing & Patination of Metals" [on eBay, Amazon, AbeBooks affil links] . Then you'll be able to review the pictures of the various finishes with your customers and read the formulas for how to produce them.
