How to stop Aluminum form giving off black stain
I have a 1992 Lund Tyee Boat. The top of the side are about 6" wide and is is unpainted / coated Aluminum. When one touches this area of the boat a black residue is given off. Is there a cleaner or a coat one could put on this area to prevent it form staining anything that get close to it?

I have a similar problem with an extruded aluminium carpet bar. No matter how much it is cleaned a black ink like contamination is given off. It is difficult to replace as it is fixed beneath the leading edge of a newly tiled floor.
