How to Blueing a gun
How do I blue (Black Oxide) my gun at home using chemical (acid)?
Jithesh- Kalpetta, Kerala, India
The easiest, most cost efficient way to blue a gun is to buy a do it yourself kit at a sporting goods store. I have personally done so many times. However the one problem I have run into is that the gun blue will not work on stainless steel. (Which happens to be the reason I came across your inquiry.) I posted a similar inquiry on
09-16-01 (letter 10802).
If you have any suggestions please let me know.
