Recovering gold by ion exchange

Q. Anyone have the idea of refine/gold by resin ?

A. Need more information. There are several resin based and/or liquid extraction methods available. Need to know the chemistry of the system. Is the gold already in solution? If it is, what form is it in: Au(CN)2-, AuCl4- etc? If your are dissolving scrap materials such as electronic devices or jeweler's dust it would be helpful to know what other metals might be in solution along with the gold.

A. Dear Mark,
We use resin to collect both gold and silver in Serfilco stack floor models. We put it right in our dead rinses and let them run! Later we send the resin to a refiner. Sincerely,
David
