Looking for class of 1974 or kindergarten 1st and 2nd grade starting in 1965

Hello anyone out there. My name is Kathleen Reilly and I attended OLAS from Kindergarten until 2nd grade when I moved to Union. I had Mrs. McGrath for kindergarten and Mrs. Gleason for first or second grade. I have two older sisters Maureen and Sheila. We lived on Waldo Ave in Bloomfield. Everyday we would walk to school and that crazy guy Skeeter would be waiting under the bridge to chase us! Does anyone remember him? Also, I remember Hot dog day and the coke machine with real glass bottles! My friends were Denise Moss, Donna Salese and Jill St John. I had a terrific crush on Michael Niro. I remember he wore a Light blue "Nehru" jacket and I thought he was great! I also remember Mr Kelly the ice cream man. Anyone remember him on a summer night? Remember playing Pizza Pizza Daddio in the schoolyard?!

I left OLAs in second grade but I remember Georgie Stampe because he used dippedydoo in his hair with bobby pins and would always grab me and kiss me in kindergarten! Anyone know what happened to him?

I'm Donna (Salese) Pierce. I went to OLAS through the 3rd grade and then moved to Kinnelon. I still keep in touch with Madelyn Spada. Do you remember her? She is the one who found this website and told me she saw my name. I can't believe it. I remember Jill St. John, Denise Moss, Michael Niro, George Stampe and even Skeeter. He actually used to come into my grandfathers dry cleaners - Apex Cleaners on Bloomfield Ave. in Newark. I live in Fairfield now with my husband and 4 children. Where are you now?

Of course I remembr you! I have checked the OLAS website and I swear your answer just appeared this week and it is dated November!You and I were friends from Kindergarten through second grade and then we moved to Union. I used to work with Lisa Spada at Buck Consultants for about ten years. I currently live in Belmar. We live a block from the beach and I love it. I have twin girls Maeve and Fiona who are three now.
This is so funny - Do you remember walking to Michael Niro's house and just standing in front of it and waiting for him to come out? I remember it was thirteen blocks away. Can you imagine letting our kids walk that far these days? Were you in the car when we got into that car accident on the way to a birthday party? I tried to get in touch with Denise Moss because her brother went to OLAS and sent an email but got no response. I got his email from this website.
Bobby Kaslow lives up the street from me now, He went to OLAS with us also

hello all I was just wondering if anyone remembered my aunt Sharon Winfield who was new to the US from India very fair skinned with glasses she asked me to say hello to all who remembered her. Me, I am from class of 1976 the younger brother and sisters of you my mom taught Gym Classes..

Hey Patty I was just looking around in here to see what I would remember and I have to say most of it, my sister told me about this a while back but I kind of put it on the back burner, but now I'm glad I looked, looks like you have taken on the lead person I see you where ever I go in here, I don't see many names I remember from my class just a few here and there but I do remember a lot from my brother and sisters classes, well just wanted to say hey while I was here I have to get back to work, I'll be checking back now and the to see what's going on.

Everyone is doing pretty good as far as I can tell, I'm in Florida so I'm a little further out of the loop then the rest of them but it's not such a bad thing sometimes, Pat's in VA. The rest are still in NJ. I retired from the navy 5 years ago and now I work for the Navy, other then that just plugging along trying to stay out of trouble, (with my wife) I was trying to check out the old neighborhood with street view but they didn't film Rutledge Ave or any of the cross streets so far, I did get to look at the school, still looks pretty much the same to me the gate to Columbia park look different though I can't quite put my finger on what it is. Well let me get back at it, talk to you soon
