GUESTBOOK, Class of 1958

I really haven't seen too many since 8th gr. I went to Good Counsel in Newark, and in 1962 entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph. In September I'll be an SSJ for 40 years. My how time flies. I taught for about 32 years and for the last 6 I am a school secretary and secretary for the Religious Education Person (CCD). I would love to hear from some of the class of 1958. I have seen Philip Malia, an EO fireman at some function. I have 3 nephews who are EO firemen. Take care. It is good to see that All Souls has a web page. Thanks.

I moved to Daytona Beach in 1974 and then to Jacksonville, Florida in 1979. Haven't been back to NJ since 1989. So need less to say I haven't seen anyone from our class. I did see Kathy Crotty when I was there back in 1989. Working for a trucking company as a Collection Specialist for the past 2 years. I thought someone said the school isn't there anymore....can't remember the last time I went through East Orange.

Hello, Sharon! Glad you found the site. I'm in Florida myself, West Palm Beach, since 1991. We do two races a year in Daytona. Hope to move up that way someday. Used to visit a friend in Jax Beach, but she moved to Orlando a few years back. Keep checking, I'm still trying to find '58'ers and send them here. I Live in Denville New Jersey with my family. Can't remember the last time I was in East Orange but have wonderful memories of growing up there. Thanks Ginny for letting me know about the OLAS site. It was great hearing from you.I have kept in touch with Pat Godwin and let her know about the OLAS site too.

I'm glad to know there are still a few of our class around. I'm living in Lafayette Hill, PA. I'v been a Sister of St. Joseph since graduation from HS. I went to Our Lady of Good Counsel in Newark. I'v seen Phil Malia on a few occasions. He is an East Orange Fire Fighter, my nephew is Chief of E.O. Fire Department and his two brothers are Captains. One of them is friendly with Phil so that is why I've seen him. Judy

I can't beleive I found this site!What a surprise. I just retired from the E. Orange Fire dept, as a Deputy Chief ,after 38 years.I live in Roseland NJ.I have seen within the lastfew years Maryann Provence, Charles Lee,Pete Biggiani Jim Luciano,Frank LeGates,and sorry to say Joe Angelo who died about two years ago.Catherine Brady also lives in Roseland,but I have not seen her.Please feel free to E mail me any time I'd love to hear from you! My sister, a 1960 grad (but somehow much older than I am), told me about this site. I have to admit it took me 2 months to take a look. I've been running into a number of people who grew up in EO around the same time and it's been great sharing experiences and stories. So, what's your story? The site doesn't have any recent updates. I've seen Cathy Brady, now Kay, in passing and some of the alums from EOCH a few years ago..Michelle del Sordo, Kathy Crotty and Pat Goodwin. I'm sure we all would like to know what's going on with you!
I have some questions... Is everyone as embarrassed about our graduation picture as I am?* Is John Rabbitt related to Eddie Rabbitt (the now deceased but from EO C&W singer)?* Does anyone stay in touch? *Who has the most grandkids? *Does anyone remember Izzy's candy store...and who played basketball at the Springdale Ave? *And the final question...who was Tommy Peacock and did he go to OLAS with us? I remember kneeling in church alot! Looking forward to hearing your update...

Nice to hear from all of you. I live in Ewing Township in Mercer County. I have been here for almost 30 years which I still find hard to believe. I started working for the State Legislature in 1974 and after 10 years of commuting, decided it made sense to move.

I drove through East Orange about 5 years ago with two of my nephews. They were of course thrilled to go down memory lane with me.

I left state service last year. I keep busy with a few volunteer activities but still follow state and national politics very closely.
