ITS BEEN INTERESTING READING ALL THE DIFFERENT LETTERS. THEY BRING BACK SOME GREAT MEMORIES.
I GRADUATED IN 1953 BUT I DON'T SEE ANYONE FROM THAT CLASS LISTED HERE. HOW DID YOU GO ABOUT FINDING EACH OTHER. MOST OF THE PEOPLE I WENT TO GRAMMAR SCHOOL WITH I HAVEN'T SEEN SINCE. THOSE THAT I KEEP IN TOUCH WITH HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO FIND ANYONE FROM OUR CLASS EITHER.
IT WOULD BE NICE TO KNOW WHAT SOME OF OUR OLD CLASSMATES ARE DOING. IF ANYONE CAN GIVE ME A STARTING POINT I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN DOING SOME RESEARCH.

Hi Lois,
Long time no see! This site does bring back memories. Have you been back to Ampere Parkway lately? I'm still in New Jersey, currently living in Aberdeen (near Matawan). It would be interesting to catch up with our classmates. The only one I'm aware of is Chris Monahan (I have his address, he and I went to St. Benedict's together). I also think I still have our graduation picture somewhere. Keep in touch.

Hi Tom,
Great to hear from you. I'm living in Lttle Egg Harbor, NJ (in southern Ocean County), but I'm currently spending the winter a couple of hours down I75 from you in Fort Myers. I've had very little contact with any of our classmates since the early 60's when I joined the Air Force. I did see a couple of guys at Pete Dunnigan's funeral sometime in the mid-70's and I had a call out-of-the blue last year from Dan Dowling (he's living in northern California). I hope all is well with you.

Teddy Feindt and Tommy McGugart,
Well, well, well. It's been more than a few years since we last strode the hallowed halls of All Souls, and what a splendid place it was. Great school - great nuns and Father Byrne to boot. Father Byrne coached our basketball and baseball teams, and we were good - really good..
I remember you Teddy very well. You lived on Ampere Parkway. You went to St. Benedict's with Chris Monaghan.
Tommy McGugart lived on Beardsley Avenue across from me. You went to Bloomfield High and were not a bad football player. You married quite young to a girl with a cute nickname. Your father's name was George and your mother's Betty. I think you had a younger sister.
My 2 brothers, Hank and Michael, went to St. Bendict's.
After OLAS, I went to St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City, New Jersey's only Jesuit High School. St. Peter's has been educating young men of Competence, Conscience and Compassion since 1872. I also went to St. Peter's College and stayed with the Jesuits in graduate school. Ten years of those guys - whew.
I married a girl from South Orange who went to Our Lady of the Valley. I went to her high school reunion two years ago and ran into Joy Peck (now Beck) who told me about this web site. Joy had 5 or 6 kids. Who knew back in grammar school what a little rabbit she would turn out to be. Joy was a year behind us at OLAS.
I have been married to Carole Dunham for almost 44 years now. I have
3 children and 3 grandchildren - 2 boys and a girl in both cases. Ny oldest son has the grandkids.
After college, I taught high school (and coached football) for 3 years and then went on to spend 42 years in the pharmaceutical industry before finally calling it quits last year. It was a pretty exciting ride and a fairly lucrative one at that. I still do some consulting work for a couple of pharmaceutical firms, but I am mostly retired now.
I live in Warwick, New York and I have a beach house in Seaside Park, New Jersey. I spend my Summers lying on the beach, eating clams, oysters and crabs and drinking gallons of beer. It's a nice life.
This is getting pretty windy, so I'll stop now and continue sometime in the future...
What have you guys been up to?

Hi Guys,
Good to hear from you, Tom Rogers. Sounds like OLAS did well by you
(despite your later exposure to the Jesuits!). I ended up with eight years of Benedictine education, went to St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA after St. Benedict's. I spent six years in the USAF after college and then 35 years with the IRS (a dark and dirty job, but somebody had to do it). Most of the pharmaceutical companies with headquarters in NJ were my "clients" over the years. I'm currently fully retired and thoroughly enjoying it. Life is good! My three kids and four out of my five grandkids all live in Monmouth County (the fifth, my 22 year old granddaughter is living in California). If you guys are ever in in NJ, let me know and we get together for a mini reunion and tip a few.

Hi, Lois, Teddy, Tom and Tommie: Is it possible that it has been 46 years since we have seen each other? Lois, on the website, indicated that she had basically no contact with anyone from our class over all these years. The same applies to me. I wonder why so few of us have kept in contact. (One exception would be the Class of l946 so many of whom were loyal to each other and to Sister Ann Roberta and Sr. Anastasia: They include Billy Smith, whom I see all the time, Patti Ann Gunning, Jack Callaghan, Jimmie Ribbe, Tommie Gerraty (deceased,) Mike Darcy (deceased.) etc.)
After graduation, I went to Our Lady of Good Counsel and became close to many friends from St. Rose of Lima in Newark. They are totally different and seem to have kept very close ties over many years.) We were so fortunate to have the wonderful young nuns at OLAS. With all the horror stories (some greatly exaggerated from Catholic school graduates) we seemed to have been exceptional school. However, I do remember being in FEAR of Sr. Anastasia and her "Dearest" weapon. I can still remember Peter Dunigan getting spanked with it. I know Tommie Rogers must have been spanked too.
The Class of '46 arranged a great 50th Jubilee for Sr. Anastasia and they had a marvelous celebration in our old Church. Tommie Rogers, I am hoping you kept your great sense of humor, however, I must say that I was very sorry to hear that you were not a accepted at St. Benedict's Prep with Chris and Teddy and had to settle for a Jesuit school. You brag about the Jesuits competence, conscience and compassion, however, WHY did they cover up the Crucifix behind Obama when he spoke there. I could not believe any priest would have allowed that to happen.
I married a wonderful guy from St. Rose's named Arnie Padula 46 years ago, have no children and live in Tenafly. New Jersey. Would love to hear from any of you.
